Greenhurst Nursing Center originally opened in October of 1961, as a 20 bed, long-term care facility in Charleston, Arkansas. In order to better serve a growing community, Greenhurst expanded its bed capacity to 42 in 1962, and to 73 beds in 1967. The current bed capacity is 97, housed in a new 34,000 square foot building which opened in December 1997, on a beautiful 40 acre campus one mile east of Charleston. The Nursing Center houses as well as employs almost 5% of our community's citizens.

Greenhurst provides an array of things for any one person. There are many daily activities and social interactions.
Many people are healed here as well - we provide on site physical therapy and exercises. Take a walk down to our gazebo to visit with family. A fully stocked pond with sheltered dock provides a wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon.
